Weaving Circle: Ceremony, Story, Sound + Weaving by Candlelight
Women have gathered in circle to weave since the beginning.
Weaving not only in threads, but in story, song, ceremony, + kinship. Turning wild fibres from the Earth into that which can carry, warm, nurture + hold, across every cultue and continent.
By using our hands to intentionally weave fibres, we weave healing into our lives. We weave into reality that which we are longing to materialise. We weave the unseen to be seen. With quiet minds and open hearts, each weave means something personally and collectively, and a mending on many levels occurs.
This offering is a gentle space to soften into, to drop out of the mind and into the body. To soak up the medicine of sitting in circle, to be lovingly guided through meditations + visualisations, listen to story, myth and music and be held in a ceremony that priotitises your heart. A space with beautiful aromatics, candles/soft lighting, herbal tea + magic.
While this offering is inspired by many ancestral traditions of Women’s gathering around the world, from times both ancient + current, this is a space rooted in respect, reverance + reconnection as Women and not a space of sharing specific cultural practices that are not ours to share.
This circle may call to your for many different reasons. Perhaps to mend your heart, or to weave a dream into reality, to bring healing to yourself + others or simply let your hands/heart remind you of what the mind cannot.
What to expect:
Opening circle + sacred space
Healing transmission + intention meditation to set the tone for your weaving
Weaving with natural materials a small basket to take home as a powerful symbol moving forward
Exploration of powerful story + myth
Music, sacred sound + herbal tea
Closing Ceremony + Circle
